A recent study shows that your phone and your keyboard are the number one magnets for germs – did you know that?
Well, all of that accumulated dirt, dust, germs, and impurities need to be removed. But how? What is the best way to clean a computer keyboard without damaging it? What about disinfecting? Well, cleaning and disinfecting are entirely different things and I want to show you exactly how to do both.
I would say that cleaning is required a few times a month while disinfecting should be done at least twice a week!
Here is what you need for the cleaning:
All you need is microfiber cloth, a toothbrush, a brush, and compressed air.
Start with unplugging the keyboard or turning off the power.
Turn the keyboard upside down and shake it well. That way any crumbs and debris will fall out.
Grab the brush and dust around the keyboard keys. That way you will loosen debris stuck underneath the keys. Then use the toothbrush to do the same.
Continue with grabbing the compressed air. This will be able to push out all the dirt that is still stuck under the keys. Point the nozzle around each key (downwards) and spray the air. Dampen a microfiber cloth and wipe the keyboard.
Here is how to disinfect the keyboard!
You need two things – a microfiber cloth and rubbing alcohol!
Unplug the keyboard, lightly dampen the cloth in the rubbing alcohol and wipe the surface.
